Urban Planning: Webinar 4. SERM: Transport Hubs – Integrating Mobility, Connecting Territories
As part of the webinar series on Serm (Services Express Régionaux Métropolitains – Regional Express Transport Services), Fnau (Fédération nationale des agences d’urbanisme – National Federation of Urban Planning Agencies) is organizing a session dedicated to multimodal transport hubs, in partnership with two French government ministries: DGALN (Direction générale de l’aménagement, du logement et de la nature – Directorate General for Planning, Housing and Nature) and DGITM (Direction générale des infrastructures, des transports et de la mer – Directorate General for Infrastructure, Transport and the Sea).
Serm aim to develop an integrated transport system that facilitates intermodality and connections between transport modes, around three main objectives:
-
Develop attractive multimodal transport hubs to smooth daily journeys
-
Reduce inequalities in access to transport between urban centers, suburban areas, and rural territories
-
Offer low-carbon mobility by supporting active transport modes and public transport
This webinar will highlight various case studies and planning perspectives around rail, road, and multimodal transport hubs.
