Rennes urban area planning and intercity development agency
The Rennes urban area planning and intercity development agency (AUDIAR) was created in 1972 by the government and the district of Rennes (that becomes in 2000 the urban area of Rennes Métropole). AUDIAR is an association that acts for public services. It is directed by a board of directors and a general meeting. AUDIAR have been supporting the development of Rennes urban area for forty years. It is a tool that helps the decision-making process in various fields : local development, planning, strategic planning. It works for its members (government and local authorities) and its partners.
Thanks to the multidisciplinarity of its team, AUDIAR feeds the reflexion by anticipating on the long term. It a place of exchanges and intermediation between the actors of territorial planning. AUDIAR’s work leads to create a “common culture” between its members and makes it possible to elaborate common development projects.
